Frequently asked questions
Why am I experiencing a difference in my extraction of stock value?
Inventory is built upon a method of recognition known as the FIFO method (First-In-First-Out), which means that the article first registered in stock will also be the article first used.
Using the FIFO method will thus result in a difference in your total stock value if you download a stock survey at e.g. a three-day interval, but still within the same accounting period.
The difference will occur if one of the following events should happen in the span between your extractions:
There is an ”old” order in your product reception module, waiting for you to put the products purchased in stock. As soon as you receive this order in the product reception module, the products will be put into stock in accordance with the date of purchase.
If you regret the scanning of a product, or if, by mistake, you have scanned two identical products and put one of these back in stock. In this case, Inventory will always register the product in question on the date of purchase.
